NE-146 When he’s not running his popular karaoke shows or performing with Buddy Dee and the Hitmen or Sunset Strip, Paul Hearn is pursuing his own musical goals with his NE146 project. Hearn achieved notoriety last year as the winner of WDVE’s “Hairband Idol” contest, which sought the singer most skilled at reproducing the soaring vocals that marked the best in 1980s hard rock and metal. Hearn’s bands have opened for national acts such as the Bullet Boys, yet his own interests and influences range from ‘60s rock and country music to Metallica, System of a Down, Nickelback and Queensryche. His self-recorded CD has sold out its initial 100-copy printing, and Hearn said requests for his music are piling up. For more, go to www.myspace.com/NE146.
Screams in the Night
I hear your voice, a shallow whisper, it calls to me and I am not afraid. Through my life, my inspiration Our loves a bond death could never change but the pain of your memory remains in the depths of my soul..I see your face in apparition, to look upon would be a mortal sin.
The scars of time have years been faded, the wait is long to be born again as I patiently wait for the wind to breathe you new life. Oh she was crucified, from the ashes she'll rise, her body was burned and her soul still lives on..Oh
(Chorus)
Screams in the night, I hear you cry I sense your presence I feel you near I reach out my hand and find there's no one there... Oh no my love I'm always there, Am I asleep am I dreamin a lie has the sun really set or am I goin blind is the present the past or the past just the future again. We may never know,
The first blood red harvest moon from the time of death she'll rise from the altar and take her first breath, the candles are burning, her body enshrined on the twelfth stroke of midnight she'll come..Alive
(Chorus)
Forget not the trials that brought all the pain, her maddening memories resound in my brain, the sound of her laughter has turned to screams in the night!
